Since 2011, Polish Archives of Internal Medicine has been recognizing excellence among junior investigators in Poland with annual awards for original research. Each year, students of Polish medical universities, including doctoral research students and foreign students, are welcome to submit their papers between November and April to be considered for an award. The first three winning papers are awarded 3000 PLN, 2000 PLN, and 1000 PLN, respectively, and the papers are published in the subsequent summer issue of the journal (July–August).
This year’s edition opens on December 1, 2016, and ends on April 30, 2017. Papers may be submitted via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The paper may have no more than 6 authors, including only 2 authors without the student’s status. The first author must be a student at the time of submission and must be able to provide satisfactory documentation of his or her eligibility (a certificate signed by a dean).
The paper must be written in English according to the journal’s formatting guidelines. The guidelines can be found here.
The winners will be announced via the journal’s website by May 8, 2017. Official award ceremony will take place on May 26, 2017, during the 16th National Conference of the Polish Society of Internal Medicine in Kraków.
